This car was one of three built and raced in the 1969 F1 season and it was designed by Bernard Boyer. This specific model with a wide rear wing was raced in the 1969 Canada GP with #17 and with Jackie Stewart as driver but did not finish the race due to a Jackie Stewart contact with Jacky Ickx, in the 33rd lap, when Ickx tried to overtake him this would end Stewart's race as he was not able to restart the Matra.
This Matra MS-80 model was also made by Quartzo with reference Q4060.
